Courtney M Cox Designs x You

Have you had the experience of knitting causing pain? Maybe you have an injury or physical illness, like carpal tunnel or arthritis, or perhaps enthusiasm for knitting has landed you in physical therapy. Pain that interrupts a hobby is frustrating, and knitting ought to be relaxing.

I know what it’s like to have an appetite for knitting that my body physically cannot sustain. To solve this problem, I have mastered the Irish Cottage (or Lever) style of knitting. This style of knitting is known for its speed and ergonomics – it’s the easiest on the joints. It was developed over a century ago by production hand knitters in Ireland. Despite its status as an established knitting style, it is relatively unknown in the United States.

To help others knit without pain, improve their knitting speed, or learn how to knit , I teach Irish Cottage knitting. From online videos to in-person classes, I love helping others to enjoy their knitting. Book a course, select your yarn and needle, and attend my class to begin learning Irish Cottage style knitting!

In-person classes now booking at The Knot & Needle in Chattanooga, Tennessee: Next class on May 7

Online knitting courses for beginners and for established knitters coming soon!
